Young Scholars Montessori School is a home-based Montessori program serving children from the ages of twenty four months to six years. We offer a Montessori based curriculum in a well prepared environment that is enriched with Practical life, Sensorial, Language, Math, History, Art, Music and Geography.
Dr. Montessori's focus on the "whole child" led her to develop a very different sort of school from the traditional teacher-centered classroom. To emphasize this difference, she named her first school "Casa Dei Bambini" or the "Children's House” This is a children's community. They move freely within it, selecting work that captures their interest. In a very real sense, even small children are responsible for the care of their own child-sized environment. The children normally go about their work so calmly and purposefully that it is clear to even the casual observer that they are the masters in this place: The "Children's House."
In light of this discovery we strive to provide a home-based Montessori environment where they feel comfortable and in charge of themselves.
In addition to the benefits above, our program provides all the features that are important to the parents when looking for an ideal place and person to care for and educate their most precious possessions such as;

She also holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree with a focus on education, Philosophy and Political Science. She has received her Montessori Diploma under direct supervision of educators who have spent a significant amount of time learning and researching the Montessori method first hand from Dr. Maria Montessori.
She considers herself a second generation Montessorian as her mom is a retired Montessori teacher. Since receiving her Montessori Diploma, Ms. Safia has had the opportunity to work at top-of-the-line Montessori Schools with multiple branches in both Omaha and Minneapolis areas. She is a true believer in the Montessori method and loves it for the whole child approach and the freedom of choice it provides. Having worked at Montessori Schools for the past twenty seven years and watching the benefits of Montessori education and the head start it has provided to hundreds of children in the community including her two daughters, Ms. Safia has decided to start a home based Montessori program to serve her own community in Blaine, MN. After managing classrooms with up to 35 preschoolers she is excited to work with a small group of children in order to pay closer attention to each and every child in her care and help them reach their full potential both academically and socially.
